Petrified Forest National Forest: Worth the visit!

Petrified Forest National Park is located inside of the greater Painted Desert. With over 200,000 acres, the Park is short-grass prairie and a semi-arid grassland. It was a very worthwhile detour that I am glad I took. I spent 3 hours here, but could have taken an entire day to see it all.

The two cameras part of this journey came into play. In this video, you will see timelapse sweeping vista and natural photography. The park was empty and I got to enjoy that deeply. The canyons and brilliant colors of the rock formations were were a photographer’s dream. The Blue Mesa kept my attention for an hour, as I walked through it.
